DOW-CIAK2_lowDOW-CIAK1These past months have been super amazing,
The 2 of us have been part of some amazing projects in Tokyo, while in Italy CIAK the biggest Italian film magazine featured a photo of us on set of The Devil on wheels (DOW), the latest movie , we are working with Spanish director Enrich Folch and English producer Roger Allen on the phenomenon behind Spielberg’s first film DUEL
Dow features alongside the main article about the launch of Duel’s Blue-ray disc this month in Italy.

We have been wanting to share with you more of our news, but it has been hard to juggle our time in the past few months.

After becoming project of the month on Indiewire last April, Dow is beaconing more and more appreciated and in the eye of attention. We keep on driving the long road.
Great steps forward have been made in these past few months. Producer Roger Allen and director Enrich Folch are doing great on their trip to CANADA and USA. After the success in Montreal at the Fantasia International Film Festival presenting DOW at Frontieres International coproduction Market, now they are on the way to meet few other key Duel’s fans.

In Tokyo Japan we have been fortunate enough to collaborate with Empire Entertainment Japan. A fantastic event company that with its talented team is branching Empire NewYork all the way to the far east. Its CEO Theodore Miller is also a producer of different movies, mostly celebrated for his first The Cruise, and most recently for a classic splatter fun/summer/bikini? horror film Zombeaver.
Ted’s creative mind and curiosity expands the company asset to collaborate with artists extending to the management group “Empire Artists”. Working and representing such great artists as Alexa Meade, Tom Black, Circus of Now, enra, Han Ahn Soon, Kurt Wenner, Marco Tempest and Mico.
To know more about these amazing artists, definitely check them out on their website:
The two of us were mostly involved on the video production, creating some amazing work along side a great team, including a commercial video for Adidas, featuring NBA basketball champion Damian Lillard, 30second video of Empir’s roaster of Artists and many graphics and animations that featured on a 6K screen on their 10th anniversary .
Blast of work, fun and a learning curve that took us above the limits of just using templates on After Effect

Now we have also been approached by Rai 2 and we are currently shooting few moments of our life in Tokyo that will feature on their TG2 Culture interview this coming Saturday 2nd of August 2015…
Updated Link to the Italian interview here..

Without forgetting our love to the performing arts we have been very happy to have indulged into such a gratifying time with movie and film making.

Connections with MoT (Museum of modern art Tokyo) have been established and a possible return to the performing arts in the land of the rising sun could soon become a reality.

Like two “ronin” we continue to strive and nourish our minds, with injections of positive creativity for our “yet to come” first future film ..
Happy summer!!!

Finally we have found some time to update our official blog. After months of work non stop, we have managed to launch our project THE DEVIL ON WHEELS live on Kick starter.

THE DEVIL ON WHEELS, will be a feature documentary about Steven Spielberg’s first success film Duel,
and the cult that surrounds it. The campaign will run for the next 30 days in an all-or-nothing basis.
The project’s goal is to achieve a minimum of £60.000 (82.500€, $92.000)
that will allow the film to be shot this summer in the USA.
In exchange of financial support the production company offers to backers a wide variety of rewards:
copies of the film, books, new posters, film credits and even the appearance in the actual film.

The crowd funding campaign has started, unveiling the project page and DOW teaser trailer, which was filmed in four countries. Two years ago, an international group of Duel fans joined forces to make this project a reality. Now it has been awarded Kickstarter’s staff pick. Throughout the campaign, the team will première at least three short documentaries about very special Duel fans.
THE DEVIL ON WHEELS project has the approval of UNIVERSAL STUDIOS and the community of the very loyal fans of Spielberg’s film. The DOW team, coming from Italy, China, Spain and England, is scheduled to tour the United States exploring the Duel phenomenon: it will interview the surviving members of the Duel crew, reconstruct the way the film was made, and meet with fans and experts to discuss the ongoing appreciation of the film.

In Duel, a Movie-Of-The-Week shot in 1971, a terrifying truck, whose driver we never see, for no apparent reason chases a lone driver along the desert roads of Southern California. Such was its success, that the TV film was extended and distributed as a film worldwide. How come this tiny film, made cheaply and quickly for TV, has generated such a passionate, international and undying cult is the question the documentary wants to answer. THE DEVIL ON WHEELS will find out what makes Duel so unique and, in so doing, will explore the power and fascination of films on people.

Duel fans from all over the world regularly visit the film locations in the desert next to Los Angeles. They go to see the surviving truck in North Carolina. Would-be filmmakers analyse the way it was made. Steven Spielberg’s first known work has become a top cinematic reference. Director Alfonso Cuaron revealed he used Duel as a source when he made “Gravity”.
The title of the documentary, THE DEVIL ON WHEELS, is the straight translation of the Spanish title of Duel, and it’s been chosen as an homage to the international recognition of the film.

The filmmakers have created a website,, which for the first time gathers in one place all Duel related information to be found on the internet. The Facebook page serves as a meeting point for the fans.

Director Enric Folch, a multi-award winning TV director in Spain, returns to documentary making after the excellent international reception of Chining Me, an ironical view on pre-Olympic China. His most successful TV film, Tempus Fugit, will soon have a theatrical remake through an international coproduction.
